Design
Following the legendary lineage of the MOTORAZR, the MOTORAZR maxx Ve weighs in at a scant 3.88-ounces, and measures only .59-inches thick. Comprised of metal housing and chemically hardened glass displays, the Ve's outer shape builds upon previous RAZR designs. The outside of the handset sports a vibrant full-color screen that can display pictures, time, call information, signal and battery strength, and more. Just below the outer screen reside unique music player control keys that illuminate upon contact to brighten your daily routine. Above the outer screen you'll find an advanced 2.0-megapixel camera with a flash and autofocus features. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy, while a massive 320 x 240 screen with over 65,000 colors dominates the inside of the flip. A charging port and USB data cable port is also included. While the phone comes with 60 MB of onboard memory, you can augment the phone's memory with a provided slot for microSD memory cards.

Calling Features
The phone's 60 MB of internal memory provides ample space for all your contacts and addresses--up to 1000 of them, while the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. It also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. A number of ringtones come preloaded on the phone, and there's even an included application, MotoMixer, that lets you mix your own ringtones. When used in combination with the Ve's built-in camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. There's also a built-in Web browser for downloads and mobile Web browsing. Verizon's optional Mobile Web 2.0 package allows you to read and send emails, exchange instant messages, and view your favorite Web content. With support for the EV-DO high-speed data standard, the Ve is fully compatible with Verizon's V Cast service. With V Cast, you can download and stream high-quality video. Need news and weather? You can define a zone or a specific area, such as a school or summer camp, and when your family member enters or leaves the zone with their handset, Verizon will automatically send an alert to your phone with the time and location of your family member's handset (additional charges may apply).

And with a Mobile Web Verizon data plan and its Bluetooth or USB data capability, the phone can be used as a wireless modem for laptops and PDAs.
