Fun for the whole family January 6, 2009 S. L. Williams This is fun for teenager and up. The added parts to the original game make it interesting.
A fun edition to the original game November 23, 2008 Judy K. Polhemus (LA) 15 out of 23 found this review helpful
I bought this edition this summer when my sister came for her annual visit--except this time it had been three years since we had seen her. Of course, we had to play Trivial Pursuit. My 10-year-old niece loves participating with adults, so the levels of difficulty were a really nice feature. One thing we all decided before beginning was to eliminate the "mean" stuff--taking wedges, making people lose places. We are all too competitive to allow for those actions. My sister-in-law will not sit down at the table to play (thinks she is "dumb"), but stood off to the side and kind of on her husband's (my brother) side. She was thrilled when she could answer questions. So it is not what you know, but if you get a question that you know (if that makes sense). Other than the part we eliminated, the game is so much fun. We vowed to keep up playing throughout the year.
Trivial Fun! December 12, 2008 D. A. Gunderson (WI) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
We always play Trivial Pursuit at Thanksgiving with our family and have tried many of the versions and found this one went over very well. Love the easy, medium, hard question feature which allowed all trivial-skill levels to play. Everyone had fun and we'll play it again.
Great, but too difficult for 12 year olds January 6, 2009 A. Burns (Houston, TX) This is overall, a good version of Trivial Pursuit, but there are a few problems with it. The easy, medium, and hard questions aren't very consistant. While playing it with children all around the age of 12, they would get easy questions as simple as "what color is a basketball usually" to "What is the name of the ship on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island?". I'd say either play with adults and older teens only or make sure you have some thick skinned 12 year olds.
Trivial Pursuit revisited January 6, 2009 Anthony Bober (So. CA) Neither my wife nor I had played Trivial Pursuit in years. She wanted one for Christmas and got at it within a day. Lots of fun. Not yet sure I agree with all of the answers but I am winning at the moment. Neighbors will joining us in near future for a round. Good quality materials and I can easily see us purchasing more question cards in near future.
