5 out of 5 stars I hated watching my Bullmastiff and my budget suffer so horribly -- until these pills.   January 21, 2006

Lola, my Bullmastiff, is quite the delicate flower. Even though she looks like a junkyard dog. And she looks like a mangy junkyard dog whenever her skin gets itchy and she scratches herself bloody. It frequently happened at the turn of the seasons -- red, inflamed belly and a patchy, irritated coat that hurt to look at.
I tried the shampoo (and actually the smelly sulfur one seemed to help a little), I tried the numbing spray, I changed her diet. Nothing really helped. And then a substitute vet suggested two of these into her food every day.

WOW! What a change.

She still has the occasional rash, but NOTHING like before. In fact, I suspect she's only itchy when I'm late with the baths. Since she has been on these EVERYDAY, her coat has the nerve to be a little bit shiny. She also has a harmless lump on her back, which shrank considerably. At first, I thought the pills had "cured" her, so I stopped giving them. A few weeks later she scratched her face bloody. So although I don't like giving daily meds for any reason, it's better than watching her try to scratch her body into hamburger meat.

When I bought them from the vet, I got like 60 pills for around 20 bucks, I think. This bottle is SUUUUUUUUUCH a better value! This is a three month supply for a little bit more money. So ask your vet about these pills, but buy them from Amazon!

5 out of 5 stars Problems with a French Mastiff   February 15, 2007

I waited one month to review this product; I wanted sufficient time for full effect. Today has been 4 weeks, and it's the best thing I have ever done!! My French Mastiff had itchy, inflammed skin, rough hair and was miserable. I put him on prescription meds, Benadryl, shampoos, changed his diet, tried everything! This has changed him 100%. This is the only thing that works! Give it a try, I'm a nurse and endorse this wholeheartedly.

5 out of 5 stars Wow! Your dog's coat will look like mink!   December 22, 2006

The gel caps are, well, simply FABULOUS! My Doberman has a good coat but was experiencing some minor skin flake. Gone....after one week on this product. She is 78 pounds and gets two gel caps each morning in her meal. Simply sizzor them open and throw them in with the food! I keep using them each morning and her coat is so shiney and rich everyone comments how beautiful she is... Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars helped my itchy, red dog   July 26, 2006

On the vet's recommendation, we gave these to our dog and it really helped with his skin and eyes.
When we don't give him these, his skin turns very red and he itches like crazy. Such an inexpensive solution to what must have been awful for him.

5 out of 5 stars Great stuff   September 23, 2007

I have a 4 year old golden retriever with atopic allergies. She has been on the 3v caps for two and a half years in combination with an antihistimine, and desensatizing allergy shot program (no steroids). Out of the 3 approaches to her allergies, I think the 3V caps have made the biggest difference, plus the added bonus of a beautiful coat. I don't know why it would make a difference, but I tried to cut corners and use just a fish oil capsule from Costco, and within a month, she began itching...maybe coinsidence, maybe not, but I switched back to the pricier 3V caps, and she's doing well again. I also tried the snip it highly concentrated 3V capsule, and it upset her stomach, so had to go back to the regular. She is not allergy free, but it's now become a tolerable, and managable condition for both dog and myself.
