Product Description The perfect cover-up for a litter box! Gives you felines total privacy and keeps litter contained. Fits most litter boxes and its sturdy vinyl cover easily wipes clean. May also be used as a privacy den for cat's sleep and play. Entry flap snaps back on side of tent to provide easy access to the litter box. Small window in back allows for adapter cord for use with Littermaid electronic litter boxes.
Amazon.com Review Designed to fit around LitterMaid's self-cleaning litter boxes (or any litter box), this roomy tent provides tabby with privacy and can be set up as a den for play and sleep even without a litter box inside. It's made of waterproof vinyl and can be wiped out with a damp cloth or washed in warm, soapy water. Used around a litter box, the six-sided tent confines litter to the box and keeps it from being scattered around. It unzips all the way around to provide easy access for a litter box to be refilled or cleaned. The tent measures 29 inches long, 18-1/2 inches wide, and 16-3/4 inches high and assembles easily without tools (instructions included). --Fred Brack

This Tent is Great for What it was Designed For July 15, 2005 Mark Frost (Carrollton, TX USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love cats but my wife is a clean freak..... This little thing solved her problem with regard to "litter kicking" as all the litter that gets thrown outside the litter box accumulates on the bottom of the tent. About once a week, I simply pick up the tent and give it a good shake outside. It totally solved that particular problem. As for "tracking" we put a small section of "astro turf" in front of the litter box and the cat's paws are cleaned of litter as he walks out. This in combination with the Litter Locker Plus removes all litter problems. Now some people have commented on the frame calling it "flimsy". This is true in the literal sense as it is indeed made of tubular plastic that "joins" together (ideally they would have designed it with two cross-bars on top as opposed to just one). Nevertheless, I think it would be near impossible for the frame to get broken by even the largest cat jumping on top of it. Our cat is 15+ pounds and he sleeps on it quite often! He also jumps onto it sometimes from the window ledge and it has not broken. Regarding the zipper, once assembled I've never used the zipper again and am unsure why anyone would want to (to clean the inside of the tent?). In summary, this is a great product for the money. Yes the tent could have been made with aircraft titanium poles for the frame, reinforced Kevlar fabric for the tent itself, and YYZ zippers guaranteed to last a lifetime, but for its primary purpose -- to contain the spillage -- this is a GREAT value. The cat seems to enjoy it too. :)
I agree. Why all the complaints? October 21, 2005 "Pearl" (Parkland, FL) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I just received the cat privacy tent and assembled it yesterday. I made sure that I took the advice in the review titled: "Why all the complaints?," dated August 12, 2005. Thanks for that review. I made sure that all of the rods were completely pushed in and took my time with the zipper. Voila!! No problems with the tent nor the litterbox. Read and follow the instructions and just be patient. My cat does not even think about jumping on top of the tent. Even if he did, I am confident that the tent would hold him and not cave in. I have never changed the liner in the litterbox. I remove the liner from the litterbox, empty it, replace the same liner and then spray it with Lysol. I have never had a problem with odor nor anything else. So, again I must say: I agree, why all the complaints?
Love this tent! February 26, 2006 T. Koepp 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Since inheriting my mother's three cats after her passing and adding them to our four, we looked for a way to tame the scattered litter around the cat boxes. The LitterMaid Cat Privacy Tent is the answer. We now have four tents and plan to buy two more to complete the process. The cats love that it is private and the litter scatter is limited to the tent where cleanup is a breeze. I highly recommend anyone with cats to make this investment. The only drawback is if you need parts that get broken, it is cheaper to buy a new tent or find PVC parts that will work.

I don't understand why so many reviews are bad! I just received this, and I love it! It was so easy to put together, i didn't even have to ask my hubby, it sure seems sturdy enough, and if somebodys zipper broke, it could be because you didn't have the rods all the way pushed in like they should be! I have 2 med. sized cats, and they took to it right away, and if you put something small on top of the tent, chances are they won't jump up on it..and even if they did, I really can't see it being a problem... The best part is seeing all the litter my kitties are kicking up that normally would have landed on my floor is now in the tent and I don't have to sweep up everyday. My advice, buy it., it is soooooooo worth it ^..^
Yay! Just what I wanted! February 9, 2006 J. D. Nagel (Eglin AFB, Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just got my Littermaid tent today & I'm already in love with it. I've been wanting one for almost 3 years, but I have been holding off because the reviews are always 'iffy'. My cats jump out of the box on the side and throw litter everywhere, so I finally decided I had no choice but to try it for myself. I put it together without my husband's help in about five minutes (the instructions are very clear in my opinion and there aren't too many pieces). I didn't have any trouble with the canvas fitting over the frame. I did find it easier to put the larger top part of the canvas on before the bottom piece (opposite of the instructions). It also zipped up easily & my Littermaid unit fit in it without a struggle. I have a smaller, older model that was purchased about 3 years so there are spaces on either side of the box inside the tent. I imagine it's made for the newer mega boxes, but it doesn't bother me. I think it's a great addition to the Littermaid & essential for controlling the litter (for my girls anyways :P). I'm glad I finally took a chance and bought it.
