Best saw I've ever had July 30, 2008 Henry Berszinn (New York, NY United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is one terrific tool. I've used it to clear the brush from around the pond of our country home. Now I'm cutting down good sized saplings up to 40 feet tall to clear a path through our woodlands. This saw makes the work easy and fun. Simply amazing.
Excellent saw/Excellent price March 20, 2007 C. G. Smith (Springfield, MO, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I saved over $20 off of retail price. I usually like Ebay, but this was a better buying experience. I will always check with Amazon when I am purchasing a new item.
The best handsaw for trees. October 22, 2008 Forest7 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This saw is excellent for cutting tree branches. The teeth are sharp and effective. It is the hand version of the Hayate pole saw. I have gotten another handsaw first, from Silky, the Big Boy, and the Sugoi is far superior.
Silky Hand Saw October 31, 2008 Walter Walkington (Miami, FL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Silky Curved Landscaping Hand Saw SUGOI 360 Extra Large Teeth #390-36 This saw cuts like butter and has reduced my time and effort in keeping up with my heavily landscaped acre which includes Oak, Palms, Cassia, Poinciana, etc.. Very durable blade and the teeth command respect so keep in in it's sheath when not in use. Well worth the money, very good quality. I also invested in a Silky pole saw and have moth balled my chain saw for the most part. Safer and greener, you may also check out the silky folding saw for convenience if your needs are not so great.
Professional Quality Saw July 1, 2008 R. Meier (Northern, New Jersey) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pros: Razor sharp and will effortlessly cut through large limbs. Ergonomic comfort grip handle saves on hand fatigue. Professional Arborist/Forestry quality. Perfect length for small and large limb trimming. Handy vine trimmer at front edge of blade. Replaceable blade. Cons: Saw-NONE Scabbard-ONE The scabbard is well made with the exception of the belt loop. Since it's made of an imitation leather product it likely won't hold up very long if the saw is used everyday by a professional arborist. I found that attaching this to a climbing saddle to be an effort when it should have been effortless. The saw is designed and marketed for the professional arborist and the belt loop certainly doesn't live up that that level of design and use. The scabbard does have a removable guard that can be changed when it becomes worn out from rubbing the saw blade edge against it. This is a nice feature, although I have yet to see one retailer who sells the replacement. All things considered this is an excellent product. Had the scabbard had a better attachment loop (like the Silky Sugoi 420) it would have rated 5 stars.
