No Mess. No Hassles. Gets the job done September 27, 2004 B. Chandler (Arlington, Texas) 69 out of 71 found this review helpful
I never was a cord person. This broom is a move up from my previous Black & Decker Versa Pack system. With a lawn under 2,000 sq ft it does not pay to have noisy messy gas powered equipment. And even thought it is well within range, I prefer not to drag around a cord. This Broom offers an excellent solution. I can not use up the first of two batteries on a standard lawn cleanup. The only question I have is why does the charger stay on red even when the battery is obviously charged? I do not worry enough to take away form its efficiency.
Perfect for those pinpoint quick clean-up jobs, especially around a pool ! December 30, 2005 W. JOHNSTON (Orange County, Ca USA) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
We live in So. California with lots of cement decks and brick hardscape in both front and back. We also have a fairly large pool with many bougainvillea plants constantly in bloom. Having used both a gas powered blower (too strong an airstream) and an electric in the past and not wanting to take a chance on dragging the electric cord thru the pool, we really wanted something that could pinpoint the stream a little better so as not to blow half the dust and leaves back in the water. The Black and Decker Cordless Broom fits the job perfectly. Every morning about 8:am (the cordless blower is relatively quiet) I go out for my routine yard maintenance and in ten minutes the job is done and I then switch batteries from the charger so that the next day, it's ready for duty. Bottom line, it's simply a wonderful little machine.
Exceeded my expectations! September 27, 2004 John I. Charlesworth 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
This is a great little cordless blower. So light that my petite wife loves to use it, and so powerful that I love it. Each battery lasts at least 10 minutes--enough to do my large patio and garage. The battery is easy to insert into the blower and into the charger. This blower sure beats my former cordless blower, and is a lot more convenient than my corded one. It would be perfect if it also had a "low" setting (for tight places, etc.)
Very handy tool as a complement to corded blower September 1, 2007 jeanne425 (REDMOND, WA USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Very effective tool for walk, porch, driveway and deck cleanup. I have numerous cedar and pine trees, and this is far more effective and convenient than my corded blower for keeping front of house, garage floor, and back deck tidy. Instead of making the debris airborne, this blower just efficiently moves it out of the way without creating a cloud of dust. Stashed in the hall closet, I now find myself taking it out for 30 seconds each evening to clear the deck of the day's cedar sheddings; didn't bother doing that when it involved lugging the corded blower out of the garage. While it also works well for post-mowing cleanup, it won't be powerful enough to take care of heavy fallen leaves or landscape bed cleanup. But that's what the corded blower is meant for. Battery life seems to be about 15 minutes. Minor annoyance - charge light stays red, so not sure how long the charge actually takes. This is a very handy 'everyday' tool and I'm very happy that there is convenient alternative for all the frequent little jobs that don't require the gale force wind power of a corded blower. It makes life easier, and that's what a good tool should do.
So good I bought another one! April 26, 2005 Pineapple Lady (Alpharetta, GA) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful tool! I live in an oak forest & have two decks, two flights of stairs and a big concrete patio which runs the length of the house (with a screen porch) & a smaller brick lower patio. Spring time means pollen and tree blooms, and Fall means leaves and acorns. Two batteries with this blower gets the whole job done with juice to spare. Total time to do all areas is about 15 minutes or less. As a petite female I hate dragging out the big blower and cord (it hurts my back and arms) -- so I leave that one to my husband. This one I can get out and blow the upper deck (and yellow pollen) off in less than 5 minutes. The noise level is great and the power output is just right to blow stuff off the deck and patio. When I want to do the whole job -- I just put the extra battery in my pocket and head out. I also use it to sweep out my garage. You can sweep without moving your cars -- since it can blow underneath them. I keep my charged battery in the blower and the second on the charger. When I finish the small jobs, I just swap batteries and never have to worry about them not being charged. I am purchasing my second unit -- just so I can take it to my lake house to "blow off" my two golden retrievers before they come in the house. YES -- they actually enjoy being blown and you can just see the dust fly off their long coats. Just don't blow it in their faces. I have them jump up on a park bench, do one side, have them turn and do the other -- Then it is good bye pollen, leaves, & dirt and they are clean enough to come in the house. & FYI -- I still on occasion let my husband drag out the noisy, heavy electric blower -- which does a better job. But for me the little cordless is perfect for the in-between times and is the perfect size and weight for me!
