Amazon.com Product Description The Panasonic KX-TG8232B DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System with Two Handsets uses the latest DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology for outstanding range and clarity. It operates on the 1.9 GHz frequency for less interference from household items such as wireless networks, keyboards, and microwaves, and is less susceptible to eavesdropping. Two handsets are included and up to four additional handsets can be used with the base unit without any need for wires or setup. An all-digital answering system is built into the base and features flash memory that holds 16 minutes of recording time. The phonebook can hold 50 entries and the Caller ID can be linked to the phonebook so that a certain color gets flashed depending on who is calling. Call-waiting Caller ID shows you the name and number of an incoming call even while you are already on a call. Digital duplex speakerphones are built into the back of both handsets for clear hands-free conversations.

Best phone I've ever have! November 10, 2007 Jane (USA) 29 out of 29 found this review helpful
Target has a great deal for this phone this week (only $78!!) and this store has good return policy (90 days without any re-stocking fee). Hence, I decide to give it a try. I feel completely satisfied and happy with this product after a few days. The phone is stylish, clear, loud, and good battery life. The speaker phone is very clear and loud, which is very important to me so that I can type on my computer at same time. In addition, it comes with lots of extra features such as colorful wall paper (only 3 to choose from), background color customization (blue, yellow, pink, green), caller ID, one-touch dial, phone book with 50 entries, date/time display, alarm clock, lots of ring tones selections ....etc. You can even "copy all" the phone book from one phone to another phone which saves me lots of time from entering the phone book again. There is a cool feature that you can assign different phone numbers to different groups (i.e. family, friend). Each group can be customized with different ring tones and background color! Also, you can listen your record messages from any phone. I don't have anything to complain about this product except I wish the phone can be packed with more cell-phone-like features such as camera and USB/blue tooth so that I can transfer my own ring tone and background pictures from my computer to the phone.
There's a new phone in town December 5, 2007 Stanley Baker (Wrentham MA) 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
Panasonic KX-TG8232B DECT 6.0 Cordlesss phone w/ All Digital Answering System and Two handsets To say this phone is one of the best I have ever used does not do it justice. It is not just another pretty face but a highly viewable treat and functional fun cordless phone with answering machine. The following is a list of very cool visual treats as well as features: 1. The exterior is a piano,(high shine) black. Very nice to look at as well as feeling tactically superior to other surfaces I have used in the past. 2. The color screen is not only attractive but very easy on the eyes. 3. There are three total wallpapers to choose from. ( small thing but wish there were a few more) 4. The sound quality is again, hands down the best I have yet to try. 5. There is a back light a handy thing to have as well as a headphone jack. (Again little thing but bluetooth would have been great but it was impossible to find in a phone worth anything). 6. The answering machine is quiet and works flawlessly. 7. the phones set up is nearly the same as a cell phone which makes it simple to set up the phone as well as add numbers. There is a 10 number one touch dial system that after set up needs only to press and hold the desired one tpouich number until the number pops up. 8. One of the coolest features is the ability to instantly transfer up to fifty numbers to the second thru ifth phone should you have that many handsets. After that when entering anything into the 1st phone it will be tranfwered to them all. Damn I like this feature. What a time saver as well as making you smile when you use it knowing you do not have to enter all that time consumiong stuff again. Keep in mind as well that you can augment the other phones as you wish. Very cool. There are many great things to recommend. Any gripes. Don't we all. The phone is light. A good thing but it does give the impression of being flimsy. This is not the case but I would be remiss to not mention it. The only other thing so far is that I would have liked it if it stored more numbers. A way around this is to not transfer numbers and use the second phone for additional numbers. I would think numbers that suit the second persons desired numbers. The last thing and something I wish these manufacturers would stop doing is to over estimate the actual battery use time. However it is still better than any other phone I've used. About four days. Without use I wouldn't know because when not in use I charge it. NmHd batteries have no memory so there is not limitation on charging. That's it. I'd give it 4.5 stars out of five because of the contact list holding only fifty numbers. I would not hesitate to recommend this phone to anyone.
I love this phone! November 2, 2007 MaggiePie (Northeast USA) 37 out of 41 found this review helpful
I needed a phone with a headset jack, a system voicemail indicator, and caller ID. Initially I bought an AT&T, but I should have paid attention to the bad reviews of the AT&T phones because I soon discovered it was absolute junk. I bought this phone to replace it and the AT&T phone when straight into the trash. I can't say anything bad about the Panasonic KX-TG8232. It does everything I wanted and more. If I try hard to find something negative to say, the only thing I can come up with is how the shiny black surface picks up fingerprints a little more than I would like, but that's it. I'll live with the fingerprints to have a phone this nice.
Best option for DECT 6.0 December 1, 2007 Clay Whitney Babcock (Culver City, CA United States) 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
I previously purchased the Philips DECT 6.0 and had to get rid of it for numerous reasons. This is a much better solution. The Panasonic has a really well thought out interface for its various functions and does exactly what you might expect from a modern phone. It stores up to 50 numbers in its phone book and lets you know how many slots are left before you run out of space. You can easily copy the phonebook between the handsets. It sounds great. Its buttons are backlit so you don't have to turn on the lights to dial a number. The handsets are pretty, fit well on my ear and can use a headset. My only complaints are that the answering machine has no numerical indicator for the number of messages and you only get a skimpy 18 minutes of message time, so don't forget to remotely check the machine and erase messages when you go on vacation.
Solid phone with a few minor annoyances January 27, 2008 John M. Beckner (Phoenix, Arizona) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I moved up from GE 5.8 cordless phones. I have a 802.11g wireless network with two computers connected most of the time. On telecommute days I would get clicking interference on the GE phones during conference calls, and the build quality was just average. Buttons stopped working after 1.5 years, headset jack caused terrible squealing on the phone on various headsets. Slow menu navigation. Four hour battery life bad for days with a lot of meetings. Time to get a new phone, if just for work calls. I have had these phones in use at home for two months. Pro: Solid call quality - no interference, very clear and clean sound Great basic phone operation - clearly marked keys and dialing operation Handset speakerphone sound quality better than expected Good variety of basic ringtones Lightweight Attractive - Smaller size, black finish, lighted keypad and color display Great battery life Headset jack Appears to have good build quality. Solid response on buttons. Con: Menu interface could be more intuitive. Still workable, but you have to play with it. Mute button is right below off button, be careful. No "number of messages" on answering machine. Make sure to check all your messages and delete them or you may forget about them. Overall I am very happy with the phone. With a few design changes on the buttons and interface this would easier to use but "good enough" on the features is easy to accept for me when the basic phone operation is so reliable.
