Misleading price... October 20, 2005 Macavity (Washington, DC USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I just wanted everyone to know that the price for the World Adapter kit is misleading. Amazon lists it at $59.99, but Apple lists it at $39.00. Even on sale for $39.88, you do not save the $20.11 that Amazon claims. (These prices are as of 20 Oct 2005, but I paid $39.00 for my kit two years ago at an Apple Store.) If you can't make it an Apple store, Apple often runs free shipping deals. Also, they offer 10-15% discounts for schools (read: students and teachers) and gov't employees. On the plus side, this product works great. I've been able to charge my iPod in numerous countries with no problems. (And yes, you must already own a power adapter... duh.)

having a set of plugs that fit perfectly and as designed is worth every penny. I travel with my iPod and PowerBook and really like having real plugs.

excelent if you travel around the world and it fits the usb adabter and ac cord for ipod and apple notebooks. of course you must buy the separate usb adapter for ipod, if you didnt know this then you obviously didnt read what was included in this package or the fact that apple sells adapter separate from ipod. sorry i just dont see how anyone could think it came with the adapter. anyways i travel all over the world and take my ipod with me, i dont like having to use my computer to charge the ipod and so i bring my ac charger and having the world adapters is perfect, i can just pop it into place and go. amazon had this for $39.99 but the price went up (saying it now qualifies for 'free' shipping which isnt true, youre paying for it in the price) apple store online has it for $39 so id recomend going there if you are concerned about the price think about it this way, so you first must buy the usb/ac adapter which is 30ish i believe, first off thats a good investment, especially if you take your ipod on trips around the states, this way you dont have to lug a computer with you, instead you can just use an outlet. so youve got the adapter, now if you are a world traveller i suggest this investment, it is much cheaper than buying individual adapters in every country you travel to, youd probably spend at least $12 or so, for one, and they are usually are more bulky than the apple ones which are built to fit perfectly, anyways so you would spend a lot rather than buying this bundle. plus it saves time trying to search the adapter racks (if you can find them) in other countries trying to find one that supports a US adapter etc. ive used these in europe (UK, Italy, Greece, Ireland etc), and Australia, New Zealand and Fiji

If you travel across diferent countries with your MAC or Ipod you will need them. They are very usefull and they fit exactly in the same way as the original "TIP" of the power connector. The same color and shape..... the same good quality of all Apple products. Just take out the original one and replace it with the desired one....and you're ready to go.
Get it July 6, 2005 E. Itskovich (NY, NY USA) Get it if you need it. If you travel you need this, what else do you plan to do. It's effecient and unless you have another way of chaerging your i pod i definatly reccomand this. Actually there is nothing else you can buy, this is the only set of adapters for your i pod. WARNING = Be sure you have an i pod carger or these won't work!
