I have 2 of these ( i always like a backup) i was using the numark idj with the 2 ipods. The cortex is so much better. I really don't need the scratch or pitch being a wedding dj, that's why the first idj was ok. It was a big improvement after 8 years of cd's, but this unit only uses 1 ipod! It also can use a external hard-drive and here's the real reason i love this- KEYBOARD SEARCH! Just type in a few letters and you can find your song in seconds. I have 21,000 songs and had no problems taking last minute request. The only thing i don't think it can do that a laptop can is autodj where the songs fade automatically for you but i'm not that lazy. It takes a little practice to learn everything but you wont be disa ppointed. God bless technology! Being a dj keeps getting better.

The headphones' audio is not in time with the output audio, there{s a delay... Doesn{t read bpm, no looping...
It{s a cool device just for playing music one song after another, but not really for mixing, the scratch mode is not reallistic, if you know how to cratch you'll find it hard to scratch with this one.. I give it 3 stars because of low pricing
