Excellent value. Takes good pictures. June 11, 2008 D. Hentze (Staten Island via NJ) 35 out of 36 found this review helpful
I bought this camera for wife so she would have small camera to carry around with her on vacation. While the pictures it takes will never be mistaken for pics taken with a DSLR, the results are generally very good. It's also very simple to use. If you're the type of person that is going to "pixel peep", or be upset about "noise" at a high ISO, then this probably isn't the camera for you. Then again, no camera for around $100 is going to make you happy. If you want an inexpensive, small camera to just take pictures, then this camera is an excellent choice. It's a small, no-frills, to the point, point and shoot. It also seems very well built, and the 2.5" screen is acceptable for a camera at this price. The camera itself probably rates about 4 stars, but I give it 5 stars at its price point.

Great Camera for an Excellent Price May 23, 2008 G. James (Cleveland, OH) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I just recently purchased this camera, and I am absolutely in love with it. I was actually thinking about purchasing a Nikon camera, because a friend recommended that brand to me. But when I saw how much they cost, I decided to look around some more. Well, I accidently came across this camera, and after reading all of the wonderful reviews and doing some research I decided to go ahead and buy it. Well let me tell you, I absolutely love this camera. It does everything, you could want a camera to do, and so much more. The pictures come out so clear and the camera is very compact and light; and it took me less than 5 minutes to learn how to use.
Great camera for the price May 28, 2008 David S. Strubbe (Charlotte, NC USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
For the money, this is a great camera. The menu and user interface are very simple. The camera is quick during power up and with recycling after photos. The image stabilization seems to help. I lose fewer pictures than with the Canon SD1000 that I had prior. I miss the viewfinder of the Canon SD1000, but this is quickly disappearing as a feature anyway. The screen has been plenty bright for my use. The included Lithium ion battery gives better life than AAs and is lighter. I would recommend as a great starter camera or as a tote along compact that you don't want to sink a lot of money into.
Great Point and Shoot Camera August 21, 2008 Nicole (Massachusetts) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I purchased this camera for a recent vacation and found it to be an excellent choice. The Finepix is an easy to use point and shoot camera. The pictures it takes are very clear - this is probably a result of Fujifilm's Picture Stabilization Technology. I took pictures from a moving bus, and they look as if I'm standing still. The camera is good in low light at a reasonable distance. We took pictures of the Las Vegas Strip at night, and they look amazing. However, we also took pictures in a very dim room and found that unless the object you were focusing on was close at hand, it was very difficult to see in the picture. The low light pictures still very clear. The 3X zoom was perfect for every picture that I wanted to take and made items look close enough for a good shot. In sum, this is an excellent purchase for the price. I recommend this camera to anyone wanting to take basic, good pictures.
