Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Ergo Fan Riser (EFR) is a desk top stand with a built-in fan and 10 adjustable elevating positions up to a 35 degree incline. It can be set-up anywhere there is a flat, table-top surface. It has a thin rubber cushion along the front edge that connects with the front edge of the notebook for gripping and to prevent scratching and abrasion. Four rubber pads on the bottom of the base grip the desk surface and hold the unit firmly in place. The adjustable elevating positions start at 2" and elevate the viewing screen to a maximum of 3" in 1/8" increments. The advantage of the lifting mechanism is that is actually separates the bottom of the notebook from the fan and allows a greater area of cooling under the notebook computer. The fan is powered by a USB connection to your computer. There is also a connection for external power but an AC adapter is not included. AC adapter requirements: 5V 2.0A.

i have never had a laptop cooler/stand so i didnt know what to expect.
the stand performes well, it doesnt make any sound at all, it is usb powered and has 4 usb slots.
the hight is adjustable so that air can flow under the laptop. witch is good if your laptop has its own internal fan, and you want the cooling effect of both internal and external fans.
the stand is made up of a light plastic and is not very good for taking around. i use it only when i am at home or at work.
it is 15x12x2.5 inches
like is said the product performes admirably, but it isn't portable.
